How do wake up calls work?
Wake up calls are made by a computer that dials your home, cell, or other number. You will hear a greeting and the time of day. If you subscribe to a wake up plan that includes snooze, you will hear your snooze options. For more details about how it works, review the How It Works and Wake Up Schedule pages.
How much does it cost for wake up service?
Our Standard plan gives you a full month of service for just $4. If you need a extra help waking up, the Premium plan includes up to 5 snooze calls. For more about wake up plans, visit the Wake Up Plans page.
Can I get just one wake up call?
Yes, you can purchase a Premium service one-time wake up call with 5 snooze calls for just $1.49. One-time calls are easy to set up and do not require a subscription.
How does the Snooze feature work?
MyCalls has the easiest snooze option you will find. During your wake up call and snooze calls, press 1 to confirm you are awake. To snooze, press any other key or simply hang up. During each snooze call, the system will tell you how many snooze calls you have remaining. You must press 1 to confirm that you are awake to stop more snooze calls.
How long are Snooze cycles?
The snooze cycle can be set to any length of time between 5 and 30 minutes. This Snooze Duration is the amount of time you want us to wait between each call.
How many times does the phone ring during a wake-up call?
Typically the phone will ring six or seven times. Upon request we will increase the number of rings to ten.
Why does MyCalls claim to be the best deal on the Internet?
MyCalls was launched with the mission of providing reliable wake up and reminder calls at the best possible price. Compared to every other company that offers similar services, MyCalls provides more service for the dollar. And, unlike most others, our wake up plan pricing is flat-rate and predictable. We never charge the extra 25 to 50 cents per call for snooze calls that other companies charge.
How does billing work? When will my credit card be charged?
When you sign up, you will be billed immediately. All of our services are provided on a pre-paid basis. You will be billed automatically every month on the same date, unless we provide bonus credits or you earn free service for referring others to MyCalls. Your credit card will be debited every month for as long as you wish to continue using the service.
How can I cancel wake up service?
You can cancel your service at any time. There is no long-term committment when you sign up. To cancel, log in to your account, and under 'My Account' select the 'Account Info' link. Here you can select to 'Cancel Wake Up Service.' When you cancel, your service will continue up to the end of your current pre-paid billing period. You will not be billed again after you cancel.
Can I receive wake up calls on different phone numbers?
Yes. You can receive wake up calls at any phone number in the countries served by MyCalls. You can use the My Wake Up Times page to indicate the phone number for delivery, or you can use My Calendar to set different wake up phones for any future date. You cannot schedule wake up calls to more than one phone number during any particular day.
I don't want to be called on holidays. Do I have to edit my wake up schedule then edit it again after the holiday?
No. You can use My Calendar to turn off wake up calls for any date without changing your regular wake up schedule. Settings entered using My Calendar will be used instead of the regular schedule.
When scheduling wake up times, which is better to use, My Wake Up Times or My Calendar?
If you have a routine weekly schedule, My Wake Up Times is the quick and easy way to schedule wake ups. If your schedule varies, or if you travel often, My Calendar is the better tool for scheduling. You can use both, by the way. When a date is edited using My Calendar, the wake up call for that date will be controlled by the My Calendar settings instead of the regular My Wake Up Times settings. My Calendar settings will always take precedence over the weekly My Wake Up Times settings.
My Calendar indicates wake up times, but I have never edited any dates using My Calendar. Why is that?
My Calendar will reflect wake up times generated from your regular weekly schedule (My Wake Up Times) as well as any edited dates. Dates that have been edited with My Calendar are indicated with a different background color for the wake up information, as explained by the key on that page.
Can I access my account using a telephone?
Yes. You can access your account using a touchtone phone. The number to dial will be on the Contact Us page. You can set, turn off, or modify any future wake up time. The number to dial in order to access your account is toll free for dialing conveneince. However, excessive use of telephone access may result in per-minute usage fees billed at 5 cents per minute. You cannot establish an account via the telephone access number. To establish a new account, use our online sign up page or call the Customer Service number listed on the Contact Us page.
What are My Minutes?
My Minutes are pre-purchased minutes that are used for Reminder, Group or Care Calls. As a wake up subscriber, you do not have to purchase My Minutes. If you wish to use any of our other calling services, you will need to purchase the My Minutes plan that is best for you. It is important to note that with My Minutes plans, you are not required to make a monthly purchase as you are with other companies. Your minutes are available until used, and no additional purchase is required until you deplete your available minutes.
I'm going on vacation. What is the easiest way to stop receiving calls while on vacation?
Use the Temporarily Suspend My Account feature. Log in to your account and access the My Preferences page. You can set a date to Stop service and a date to Restart service. No wake up calls will be made during the suspension period. Service will resume automatically on the date that is entered in the Restart Wakeups On: field.
Are There Any Rewards For Referring Others To MyCalls?
Yes. If you tell a friend about MyCalls, ask them to tells us that you referred them. During the sign up process, we ask 'How Did You Hear About MyCalls'. If the subscriber indicates that he or she heard about MyCalls from a friend, we ask them to help us identify the customer that referred them. You will earn one free month of service for each referral that signs up and pays for their first month. And, your friend will get his or her second month of service free as well.
How many times will I be called each day?
The number of calls you receive depends on the plan you select. Standard plan subscribers receive one wake up call per day. Premium subscribers receive one wakeup call with up to five snooze calls, as needed. If the phone is busy or not answered when we dial, we will dial up to two additional times in our attempt to deliver the wake up call. If the phone is answered, but no confirmation is received, one additional call attempt will occur a minute or two later, except during snooze cycles.
